Recent Beauty Purchases 7

e.l.f. Poreless Primer: - I thought when I got this it was the poreless putty primer, but, it is not. It smells of tea tree oil, which I hate. So just be warned if you try this it really smells of tea tree oil! It works okay. Not nearly as good as the poreless putty primer (below), but better than others.

e.l.f. All Day Stay Eyeshadow Primer: I've been using the Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer but recently ran out so when I was placing an order from e.l.f. I decided to give the All Day Stay Primer a try. I'm glad I did! It works so much better and my eyeshadow stays in place all day. Granted, it hasn't been humid here yet so I can't say how well it works if I'm outside in humid weather all day, but as far as I can tell it works really good! And at only $4 it's a great cheap buy!

e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer: This is probably the best primer I've used. I have large pores so I am always looking to try something to minimize the appearance of them. While it doesn't typically bother me, I just find that sometimes foundation can seem to emphasize the appearance of them. Anyways, this primer works really great! You can notice a difference immediately after applying the primer. Unlike the regular Poreless Primer, this has no weird smell. Overall this is just a great product!

LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask in Vanilla: This (as well as the next two items) were products I got for Christmas this past year and just though I would include! This has a greasy feeling and really doesn't have much of a vanilla flavor, but as a whole it works well. It even comes with a tiny little wand to use as an applicator which is nice! I won't buy lip balms and such where you have to use your finger to apply the product because that just seems gross and unsanitary, but having an applicator wand is nice because I can always clean it!

TARTE Tarteist PRO Glow to Go Highlight & Contour Palette: I like this highlight and contour palette. I have pretty fair skin, so this works well for me. It's a pretty cool-neutral palette, so no weird yellow/orange undertone. Overall just a nice little palette!

Tarte Tartelette Tease Clay Eyeshadow Palette: This is just a great little neutral palette. I'm not one for crazy eyeshadow colors, so buying larger palettes just isn't beneficial for me as they are usually filled with colors I would never use. The colors are pretty pigmented, so a little goes a long ways. But overall just a nice little palette.

My March 2020 Photo A Day Pictures

My Photo A Day for March kind of fell off the rails about half way through because of the virus and lock down and not really being able to go anywhere. I ended up using mostly pictures I had already taken since I couldn't really go out and take new pictures.

I try to take new pictures for each challenge instead of always reverting back to old pictures, but unfortunately that didn't happen this time! But instead of getting annoyed by that I just figured that at least I got it done!

Anyways, here are my pictures for March!

Currently

Hi! After a somewhat intentional somewhat unintentional blog break, I'm back! I took a bit of a break because I wanted to put this new layout together. The unintentional part was because it ended up taking way longer to put together than I thought! These things always take forever (because I want to get it just right!) but this time it really did seem to take forever.

Anyways, I thought I would start off with a post about what else I've currently been up to. Which isn't really too much considering all this self-quarantine/lockdown stuff still going on!

Working on - Just finishing up the blog layout! I've got a few more little things to do and then I'll be done!

I've also been working on some organization in my room. I got a new desk last year and just kind of shoved stuff in it when I first got it, but now I've been slowly working on organizing it. I found some boxes that fit perfectly so I'm trying to transfer stuff from the containers I had into the boxes and just get it looking nicer.

Looking forward to - Quarantine/lock down being over. I am an introvert and spend a lot of time at home anyways, but I'm ready to go back to regular life.

Watching - Shark Tank, American Idol, The Voice, a few ID channel shows, The Profit, and, as always, Dateline.

On Netflix we finished the newest season (Season 4) of Nailed It! and we also watched The Pharmacist. Currently we are halfway through The Innocence Files which has been interesting.

Reading - I've read several books lately but unfortunately nothing too interesting or worth recommending.

Buying - Some summer clothes. I bought a few new dresses at Target before quarantine started (this dress and this dress. Both in red.). And I bought a few things from Old Navy's website about a month ago when they had a 50% off everything sale. So now I have some nice new clothes and nowhere to wear them!

Trying - I tried this recipe for lemon cake for Easter last week. I added a couple of tablespoons of poppyseeds because I wanted it to be a lemon poppyseed cake, and it turned out really good!

Eating - I've been trying to buy more fresh berries as they've started to become more available/in season. I try to pick some up whenever I go grocery shopping. I really like berries, so I always look forward to when they are in season! My mom and I went out to a local farm and picked some yesterday which was nice!
