Instargram roundup

Hello everyone! We just got back from Washington and we had a great time! We spent the week in Seattle, and then a few days at my grandparents house. The weather was pretty good while we were there too!

It was so nice to get away for a few days and do some fun stuff. I really liked having lots of interesting things to photograph!

March Ipsy Review

This was my first ever time receiving an Ipsy Glam Bag. I have heard SO much about Ipsy, but waited a while to give it a try. I did a lot of research into subscription boxes, and Ipsy was one of the ones I was most interested in. I really wanted one where I could receive makeup, as I am no really into hair care products, masks, or skincare items. I wear makeup, I like using it, but I never know what other brands to try.. This seemed like a great way to try new things without spending tons of money doing it!
I really liked my Glam Bag! I thought it was cute and I actually didn't have a real makeup bag, so this was perfect! I like little bags and stuff for organizing, especially when I travel, so getting a cute little bag like this every month is great! It seems very well made too!

Alterna Haircare Caviar Anti-Aging Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist:

This did nothing for my hair. I do not blow dry my hair, and this didn't really do anything on air dried hair. It does have a somewhat nice scent. Not too strong or overpowering. There just wasn't any noticeable volume. This was probably my least favorite item in my glam bag.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Step 1 Skin Equalizer Hydrating Primer:
Another just okay product. I don't wear foundation, but this didn't work at setting my eyeshadow. I liked that it was not greasy and it was moisturizing, but it did not hold my makeup at all. I'll finish the tube but I would not purchase this myself.

Pixi by Petra Beauty Blush Duo in Rose Gold:

While I like the idea of this product, it just didn't work for me. I have fair skin and this was too light for me and didn't show up at all. Even the highlighter just blended in with my skin and didn't show up! The color of the blush was pretty and I wish it would have worked for me!

Beau Gâchis® Paris Eyeshadow Brush:

Well, it's an eyeshadow brush. It does what it's supposed to. Can't say it's anything spectacular. Just your average eyeshadow brush!
Starlooks Luxe Longwear Eye Pencil in Jet - This was my first time trying a Starlooks eye pencil. I typically use a black eyeliner, but this was extremely bold and I didn't really like the look of it. It was also really hard to remove! Once you put it on it's on! I did like that it glides on very easily, just don't mess up!

While I didn't love any of the products in my first glambag, I will definitly give Ipsy another try! I have read that reviewing items on their site will give them more of an idea into what you like.

I really like that you receive quality products, some of which are full sized items! I would definitely recommend it! The bag itself is definitely worth it! At $10 a month, it's a great deal!

Have you ever tried Ipsy? What did you think?

March Target Beauty Box review

Not Your Mother's Texturizing Sea Salt Spray: I'm not really sure what to think about this! It did give my hair a little bit of a wave, but for the most part it made my hair a frizzy mess. And it also just left my hair kind of sticky and gross feeling. I did try it on dry hair, so maybe I'll give it a try on my hair when it's wet.

Nugg Deep Hydration Facial Mask Treatment: I tried this the other night and wasn't real impressed with it. It definitely made my face feel all tingly. It also had a strong smell of petroleum jelly, which I didn't think this product contained.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: I haven't tried this yet. I'm just not really into facial masks, so I'm not sure if I'll try this. One was enough for me.

Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner: I liked this shampoo and conditioner! It smelled really nice, didn't have a lot of chemicals or any parabens, and it also left my hair feeling soft.

The only negative is that it didn't lather up very well. Otherwise it was great!

Banana Boat Sun Comfort SPF 30 Lotion: I probably won't be trying this until summertime. That's about the only time I'm out in the sun for any length of time.

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Colors - I've used Sinful Colors nail polish and have been pleased with the quality. Considering how cheap the polish is, It's long lasting and the colors are pretty and vibrant. I did not like the color I received in this box though, it is WAY too bright for my liking! I tried photographing it in different lights and it doesn't show up as vibrant as it is in real life.

I ended up taking the polish off a little bit later because I just didn't like the color. I don't paint my nails too often, but when I do I like to use darker, or more neutral colors. The polish itself is great, but the color just wasn't for me.

you are AMAZING Juicy Grapefruit Body Lotion: The scent isn't too bad, although it doesn't really smell like grapefruit. For some reason it kind of reminds me of lemon Pledge, but that's probably just me! Anyways, the ingredient list isn't too bad and it doesn't have any parabens. It's also made in the US which is nice! I also like that it absorbed into my skin pretty quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue.

Caress Adore Forever Body Wash: I definitely will not be using this because it smell terrible! I could smell it without even opening the bottle. It has a really strong perfumey scent. Like when you walk through a store after someone has sprayed ever single perfume in the store. It's pretty bad!

So for my first Target Beauty Box, it wasn't too bad! I liked that they actually put some care into packaging up the box with tissue paper and arranging the products so the front/labels were facing out. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get any makeup products to try, but maybe next time!
