September Ipsy Glam Bag

MPRINCESS Loose Eyeshadow in Pretty Petal: The color is pretty but I don't really care for loose powder. Fortunately though, this does have a sifter thing on top so you can have some control over how much you use.

LUXIE BEAUTY Harley Quinn Detail Flat Definer 110: I didn't like this brush. It's not my style at all and I really don't have a use for a brush like this.

SMASHBOX COSMETICS Photo Finish Primerizer: Overall I liked this primer. It left my makeup looking good all day long. I just prefer something that is pore minimizing, so that would be my only complaint I guess (which is just as well as it's a bit pricey!). Overall it's a great primer.

HAYADI Weightless Smoothing Cream: This was fine. Nothing too spectacular. I used it on my hair after I showered and it left my hair feeling soft. I haven't tried it on dry hair yet, but I'm interested in seeing if it will do anything for frizz. Overall it's just okay.

TRÈSTIQUE Mini Lip Glaze in English Rose: I really liked this lip glaze. I was a little worried the color was going to be really bold because I thought it was more like a lipstick, but it's actually more like a lip balm. It's just a really pretty color and one I can actually see myself getting some use out of! 

Overall this was just an okay bag. There weren't really any standout products. The lip glaze was probably my favorite item, with the primer being a second. Everything else I didn't really care for. 

Anyways, my October bag looks to be much better!

I'm curious though, do you subscribe to any beauty boxes/bags? What are your thoughts on them?

July Ipsy Glam Bag

SEBAMED Liquid Face and Body Wash: I didn't use this. It has tons of great reviews but I just couldn't get over the smell! I don't even know how to describe the scent except that it's terrible. And the odd green color is also not very appealing.

HEMPZ Herbal Body Moisturizer in Sweet Pineapple & Honey Melon: Unlike the last product, this smelled really good! Kind of like fruit punch Kool-aid. It seemed moisturizing, although I don't have particularly dry skin right now so I can't say how well it works on really dry skin. It does rub in well and isn't greasy, so that is always a plus!

SUNDAYS No. 45 nail polish: I didn't really care for this color as it looks a little bit more neon in person. Since it's a lighter color I had to use two coats because the first looked really streaky. And even after two coats it looks a little bit streaky in places, so I would say that it really doesn't go on too easily. After about the fourth day I started to notice some chipping. So overall the polish itself isn't too bad, I just didn't really care for the color.

SUGAR COSMETICS Stroke of Genius Heavy-Duty Kohl in 03 Green Light: While the color itself was okay, it's just not something I would wear. I just prefer neutral colored eyeliners. 

OFRA COSMETICS Eyeshadow in Exquisite: I was really disappointed to see this was the shade I received. I just don't have a use for black eyeshadow. I mean, I suppose I could always use it with a smudge brush as an eyeliner or something.

Overall I've been disappointed with my Ipsy bags recently. It seems that I get some great bags for a while, and then I'll go through a period with some really disappointing bags. I like trying new makeup products, but I hate feeling like I'm wasting my money!

June Ipsy Glam Bag Review

KALEIDO COSMETICS Skin Blush in Prom Queen: The color looks okay as is, but once I applied it it was hardly noticeable. I applied several layers and it was still just a very subtle color with just a hint of shimmer. So while not necessarily a bad thing, just know that it is a very subtle shade.

M·A·C Prep + Prime Skin: This was okay. I really didn't notice any difference with using this versus any other primer I've used. Except for the fact this wasn't pore minimizing or smoothing or anything. I haven't tried very many M·A·C cosmetics, but I always feel like they are a bit overrated.

KVOSSNYC Macaroon Lip Balm: This was okay. It doesn't smell at all to me, which was a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to a macaroon taste/scent! It is fairly moisturizing, but I just don't care for the greasy feel and the fact you have to use your finger to apply it. It's just not sanitary.

HEY HONEY Come Clean: Propolis & Minerals Facial Scrub: This was fine. It's pretty thick and I had trouble getting it out of the tube at first. Overall though it has a nice, light scent and it worked fine. Nothing too spectacular but it was nice as a sample.

FINDING FERDINAND Mini Lip Stick in Au Naturel: This color was so ugly. It's supposed to be more of a nude color, but it's just too brown on me and looks terrible. It also does not apply very well (it's not smooth and feels kind of waxy). Overall I really didn't care for this.

This was just an okay bag for me. There weren't any standout products or any products that I really didn't like either. Overall they were all just kind of boring.

May Ipsy Glam Bag Review

LORD & BERRY 20100 Maximatte Crayon Lipstick in Spicy: I was surprised at how creamy this went on. Sometimes lip crayons can really tug and pull at your lips when applying, but this went on nicely. The shade is nice too. It's pretty close to my natural lip color, so I would have preferred something with a little more color to it, but overall it's a nice product.

TOUCH IN SOL Style Sepia Gel-Liner in Jardin: I don't typically use a brown eyeliner, but this was fine. The color isn't too dark and it goes on okay. Overall no complaints.

SLMISSGLAM  N15 Eyeshadow Brush: I was definitely disappointed to get yet another eyeshadow brush in my bag. I think this is the fourth one I've gotten from Ipsy and I just don't want or need any more! I'm just not a fan of this one as the colors and look are just not me.

FRECIPE Açai Berry Calming Mask and Pomegranate Firming Mask:

The pomegranate mask smelled nice, but it made my face break out so I didn't like that! And the acai berry one really didn't do anything. 

SUGAR COSMETICS Arch Arrival Brow Definer in Taupe Tom: The color of this was just right for me. It goes on nicely and blends well. I liked it.

Overall this was just an okay bag. There was nothing I really loved and the two items I did like just weren't ones I would use all that  often.
