Norfolk Botanical Garden Part 1

Last month my mom and I drove out to the botanical garden to check out what was in bloom. We have visited quite a few times over the past year and there is always something interesting blooming!

This time I was looking forward to seeing the cherry blossoms, but it turns out that there were tons of crabapple trees blooming and I think those might have been my favorite! They were so beautiful! The the trees were just huge and filled with flowers!

We spent a good couple of hours exploring the garden. I ended up taking quite a few pictures and have plenty more to share soon!
Have you visited any gardens this spring?

April 2021 Photo A Day

Another month done! And another month that took me longer than I expected to get it done. I had to really dig through some old pictures to find a photo for a couple of the prompts here. Swing really had me stumped. I found a very old picture I had taken at a fair to use. I just don't go anywhere where there is a swing set, and I really had no ideas of anything else to use!

Graffiti was another one I was really stuck on. I don't see graffiti very often and whenever I do it's certainly not something I want to take a picture of! So I dug up a picture of some murals I had seen.

Anyways, I'm glad to have another month done!

Cherry Blossoms at the National Arboretum Part 2

We spent several hours walking and driving around the arboretum admiring the cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are a favorite of mine, so I was really glad to be able to visit the arboretum and photograph them!

While taking this first set of cherry blossom pictures I accidentally stepped into what looked like an unsuspecting section of grass but was actually a big mud hole. Luckily we were parked nearby and my mom was able to get my shoe cleaned off!

Besides the cherry blossoms, we were also able to see some different types of magnolia trees. I was surprised at how many different varieties of magnolias there are!
Have you been able to see anything in bloom where you live?
