Friday Favorites

Hello and welcome to my Friday Favorites! Today I am linking up with Andrea!

1. Back in June we went up to Northern Virginia to visit my brother and sister and while we were there my sister took us out to Fort Washington in Maryland, which is right across the Potomac river from Alexandria, VA.

The fort itself isn't really that big but the grounds were pretty large and there were some nice trails/paths to walk on. The fort was somewhat dilapidated and portions of it were closed off so you couldn't go inside (like the officers and enlisted housing) but the lower portion of the fort was open. Although it was dank and creepy with a lot of bugs, spiderwebs and overgrown brush.

It was a neat place to walk around despite the fact it was really hot out!
2. After our visit to Fort Washington we stopped for lunch at Holy Cow in Alexandria, VA, for some lunch. The food was really good! My sister had been there before with our brother and said it was really good and she was right. The burgers are fully customizable or you can order one of their options. And the fries were perfectly crispy. For the record there were a lot more fries but I had already given a bunch to my mom since we were sharing them.
3. Awhile back when I was at Trader Joe's I decided to try a couple of their ice cream treats. These have both been out for a while but I had never had them before and they were both very good! The mini cones are nice if you just want a little something after dinner or whenever and the ice cream sandwiches are really good. The mini cones come in several different flavors (I believe they have chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and the chocolate chip). I would definitely recommend adding these to your Trader Joe's list!
4. Peet's Coffee is my favorite and I recently had an order come in. The Ethiopian Fancy is my favorite (I always buy my coffee from the Africa or Sumatra region). I try to find something new to try in addition to my usual Ethiopian Fancy and I couldn't remember if I've tried the Sulawesi-Kalosi before so I added it to my order. What kind of coffee do you like?
5. In case you missed it, I didn't get a Friday Favorites posted last week but I shared our hike in the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park and on Wednesday I shared some of my recent beauty purchases!
And this week I shared about our visit to Ruby Beach on Monday and on Wednesday I shared some of my recent scrapbook pages!
Hope you have a great weekend! Do you have any plans?

Some Recent Scrapbook Pages

It has been a very long time since I've shared any scrapbook pages, but I recently finished an album so I thought I would share. I'm several years behind on my scrapbooking so it's nice to start getting caught up! I have completed a lot more pages but I just picked some of my favorites to share.

I (obviously!) take a lot of pictures so I try to cram as many pictures onto a page as I can while still making it look visually appealing. I'm also not really one for lots of embellishments as I prefer my pictures to be the main focus.

I've linked the corresponding blog posts if you're interested in seeing more pictures or reading more in depths about anything.
