Visiting the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, TX
While we were in Texas my mom and I flew down a day early so we could drive up to Waco for the day. One of the places I wanted to visit was the Dr Pepper museum!
The museum was pretty interesting and went all the way back to the discovery of fizzy water and how it was originally touted as having all of these health benefits and being almost sort of a miracle cure for all sorts of ailments.
The museum showed you not just the history of Dr Pepper, but of pop in general. It was interesting to see how it all came about. It was also interesting to see how the bottles have changed over the year.
There were lots of fun little facts and things to read. Such as how the term soda jerk came to be, where the name soda pop came from, and even some of the popular early soda flavors. Like celery! Ew!
