Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Part 1

Before we had even gotten to Washington we were really hoping to be able to drive up to Skagit Valley and see the tulips. My sister and I kept checking the site hoping the tulips would be in bloom while we were there and we lucked out and they were! Due to the weather they had a little bit later start which really worked out in our favor!

We visited Roozengaarde, which is the farm we always visit. We have been to other farms in the past and Roozengaarde seems to be the largest with the most variety and laid out the best. Overall it's just our favorite and it's never disappointed!

It was about a 3 hour drive there from my grandparents house and we got a later start to the day due to my brother having some work he had to get done before we left. So we didn't end up leaving until almost noon. We stopped for some lunch in Tulalip at our favorite local burger restaurant (Bob's Burgers & Brew) before heading out to the fields.

It was a very warm day and we were all overdressed (It was around 72°!) we were just glad to have such beautiful weather! There were more people than I would have expected for being a Tuesday afternoon but it also wasn't as crowded as it could have been. Regardless, we really enjoyed our visit and I took a ton of pictures! The tulips were all so beautiful!
Have you ever visited a tulip farm?
