September Ipsy Glam Bag Review

Ciaté London Wonderwand Mascara in Black Magic: I was pretty disappointed with this mascara. It just didn't do anything. I put three coats of it on and it still looked like I wasn't really wearing any mascara. It just didn't make my lashes look long or full or anything.
Pixi by Petra Fresh Face Blush in Beach Rose: The color of this blush subtle, but overall a nice color. I think if you have a darker skin tone you won't notice it too much. It's also very matte as well. I thought it was nice.
NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Flower Cleansing Water - Calendula: I really liked this product! I like that it's for sensitive skin, so it was super gentle and not at all drying. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and clean. I thought the scent was nice too! I also liked that the top had a smaller opening so it was easy to have some control over how much comes out.
P.R.M.I.T Beauty GELlusion in September (Virgo): I just really didn't care for this color. It looked darker in the bottle, but when I went to put it on it was a pretty obnoxious bright blue that I just didn't like. I only got two fingernails painted before I had to take it off!
ColourPop Cosmetics Lippie Stix in Glam Bag: I've been wanting to try a ColourPop product since I first signed up for Ipsy over a year ago and this is the first time they've sent me one. I was kind of on the fence about the color, but it's just too bright for me. It goes on smooth and creamy, and it's a super bold color when on, but unfortunately not something I could get much use out of.
Overall this wasn't too exciting of a bag for me. I really liked the cleansing water and the blush, but the rest of the products were disappointing.

Some Scrapbooking

Today I thought I would share some of the recent scrapbook pages I've done. These are all pictures from last year as I am trying to get caught up on my pictures! I've linked the posts that go along with the page if you are interested in seeing those!

Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea Bright on a BudgetDella Devoted, and BYBMG!

1. Fall is officially here! I am so happy to have some cooler weather! We've even had some rain which has been so nice. I've enjoyed wearing some of my favorite cooler weather clothes, seeing the leaves starting to change color, I've already made a batch of chili, and I'm looking forward to cooking some soups.

2. My sister's birthday was last week and she requested a nanimo bar cheesecake. She always goes for unique or elaborate cakes, so this was a new recipe for me and one she found on Pinterest. I'm happy to say it was really good! Even if I did have to modify the recipe a bit!
3. I've done a little shopping for fall decorations over the last couple of weeks. Target has had some really great stuff in their Dollar Spot. The leaf lights and the lantern were both $3, and the pumpkins were $1 each. And then we were at Michael's and my sister spotted the cute bird. It was on sale and was only $5! Target has had some really similar ones in the past, so I was surprised to find this one at Michael's.
4. Does anyone play Words With Friends? I was quite shocked when I put down this word at scored 115 points! Definitely my highest scoring word ever! Needless to say, I won that game by almost 200 points.
5. In case you missed it, I shared a book review earlier this week as well as some pictures from our trip to Mt. Rainier!
Hope you have a great weekend! Do you have any fun plans? I'm planning on putting up my fall decorations!

Visiting Mt. Rainier

Despite having lived in Washington most of my life, Mt. Rainier was one place my siblings and I had never been. We finally had some nice weather and decided to make the trek up there!

It took us a couple of hours to get up there from my grandparents' house, and once we got into the park we searched for a place to stop and eat our lunch.

We found an area with some picnic tables and we ate our lunch. The weather was really nice! Warm, and clear blue skies, except for a few clouds surrounding the mountain. After lunch we walked over to the first viewing area where we caught our first view of the mountain from inside the park!
It took us quite a while to actually get up the mountain as there was quite a bit of construction on the way up, plus there was a fair amount of cars.

We were disappointed that the clouds hadn't gone away. But unfortunately that is pretty typical with Mount Rainier!

It was hot when we reached Paradise, which is where the lodge and visitor center is. We were not expecting it to be as warm as it was. I believe it was in the 80's.

We started our hike up the Skyline trail, which was incredibly steep! The lodge is at 5,400 feet in elevation, and then we hiked about a mile and a half, and ended up at 6,700 feet in elevation! Talk about steep!
We really enjoyed our time at Mount Rainier and I'm glad we finally got to go visit! It was just so beautiful! While I wish the clouds had gone away, they just seemed to keep circling around the mountain so we could never get a completely clear view. I would definitely recommend visiting if you're ever in Washington!
