Spring Flowers

Just a few pictures of some of the flowers I've seen around! We don't really have any landscaping at our house, but I enjoy the lone lilac bush in our backyard!

We also have a tree in our front yard that has pink flowers. It looks sort of like a cherry blossom tree, but I don't think it's actually a cherry blossom tree. It smells horrible and has very tiny pink flowers. (Starting at the fifth picture down.) And then of course the last two are my favorite-cherry blossoms!

Five for Friday

Hello! I guess it has been a little while since I've done a Five for Friday post! There just really hasn't been much going on around here, which is the reason for the lack of posting I guess. As much as I would like to post, I just don't have much to talk about. Anyways, here is my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of TeaBright on a Budget, and  Della Devoted!

1. The cherry blossoms are probably my favorite part of spring! While walking through my neighborhood, there are cherry blossom trees all over and they're just so pretty! Unfortunately they didn't last long because we had a bunch of wind last week that blew all the flowers away. So it was nice while it lasted!
2. I received the Target naturals beauty box in the mail recently and am enjoying that! I've tried a little over half of the products and so far I've liked them. I try to stick with natural/organic beauty products, so I was quite surprised when Target released this box. (Full review to come soon!)
3. I've posted some squirrel pictures before, but lately I've been noticing this guy sitting on the fence post spying on our neighbors. He'll sit there for a long time, just watching the neighbors backyard! It's just so funny! I mean, look at his little hands on top of the fence!
4. I was at Trader Joe's earlier this week and picked up these pretty flowers! You really can't beat their prices! This bunch was only $3.99!
5. In case you've missed it, I have shared a couple posts the last two weeks. I first shared some of my recent beauty purchases, and then on Monday I shared a review of the March Ipsy glam bag!
Hope you have a great weekend!

March Ipsy Glam Bag Review

INT Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Goddess Gold: I really liked this eye shadow. The color is really subtle, but it looks really pretty. I prefer neutral shades, and this was a nice choice for me. Slightly different that the usual browns I use, but not too 'out there'.
tarte cosmetics  tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint in delish: I'm really not a fan of liquid lipsticks in the first place, and this was just as I was expecting. I found the color to be just okay. It had a little too much of a brownish tone. The product went on kind of messy and gloopy and once it dried, it felt really drying on my lips. You can tell just from the picture how gloopy looking it is. Unfortunately, this was not a great choice for me!
Skone Cosmetics Luxe Pro Blending Brush: I have zero use for this brush. I just don't use or need a blending brush, so not a great choice for me.
ModelCo Eye Define Retractable Crayon Liner in Black: The crayon is so soft it breaks off every time I've tried to use it. Even with very light pressure, it still seems to break. Not sure if I just got a bad one, but I'm not a fan.
Infusium  Infusium Repair + Renew Smoothing Serum with Argan Oil + Keratin: I liked this hair serum! I put some on after I showered, and the next morning my hair felt really soft. I don't really have that dry of hair in the first place, but I did really like how my hair felt after using it. It also did not leave any sort of reside (sticky, oily, or otherwise.) It also has a really nice scent to it!
Overall this was not too bad of a bag. I wish the eyeliner would have worked out, but the crayon was just way too soft! I liked how this bag had almost everything you need for a basic look. My favorite products were the eye shadow and the hair serum!

Have you tried any of these products?

Recent Beauty Purchases 1

So today I thought I would share a few of the beauty products I've bought over the last few months. I typically stick with the same old brands/products and don't really try new things too often (which is why I like Ipsy, so I can try new things without spending too much!) But these were all items that I had seen in articles that were highly rated, so I thought I would give them all a try!
Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet: I really like this moisturizer. I have pretty normal skin, (not too dry and not too oily) but my skin is sensitive. This moisturizer is oil free, lightweight, and does help to reduce redness (#fairskinproblems!). I also like that this is mostly natural and has some organic ingredients. It also has no parabens, sulfates or harmful ingredients!
e.l.f. Makeup Remover Pen: This makeup remover pen is like magic! I never even knew something like this existed, but it has come in handy so many times! Especially when I'm doing something like winged eyeliner, it is so helpful at straightening up any wrong lines or anything. And it's so cheap too! Definitely a must-have!
Maybelline Baby Skin Makeup Primer: This primer is okay. It feels oily, so I'm not really a fan of that, but otherwise it's an okay product. It seems to do a pretty good job at reducing the appearance of pores, but I probably wouldn't purchase this again. If you know of something better, let me know!
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil in Taupe: This brow pencil is just okay. I first purchased it it taupe, but it seemed like that was too light, so I purchased it in natural brown, and that is too dark. The shade selection really isn't very good. It's called a pencil but it is more of a crayon. It really didn't last long either! You really don't need to use very much, but it barely lasted a month. It's cheap, at just a couple of dollars, but not really that great of a product.
L'Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation in Classic IvoryI haven't really used very many other foundations, so I don't have much to compare this to, but I do like this. I bought it in the Classic Ivory, and at first I thought it was a little too light, but it does blend in with my skin tone fine. I do have pretty fair skin and have issues with redness, and this covers that up fine.

It lasts all day for me, and while I do live in a dry climate, I'm not sure it would hold up very well all day if you live in a more humid climate.

I do find that this seems to have kind of a powdery looking finish, so I don't really like that too much, but overall this is a pretty good foundation.

I will add though, if you are looking to buy this in the Classic Ivory and you aren't sure about the color, the actual product is more lighter and whiter than how it looks on the tube itself. The tube makes it look a little darker than it really is.
