Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am Linking up with Bright on a BudgetDella DevotedBYBMG and Andrea!

I hope you all had a great week despite how weird it's been! Although as an introvert, it's pretty much been a normal week around here! I went grocery shopping last Friday morning, which isn't my normal grocery shopping day and I am sure glad I went when I did as things got CRAZY Friday evening and all through the weekend. I was able to buy everything we needed (I just bought our normal stuff.) but I was surprised at how many people had carts just overflowing with stuff.

So we're doing well. Keeping busy. I have lots of hobbies to keep me going which has been good. And we've gone out a couple of times to parks to go for walks, and we even went to the local botanical garden yesterday which was nice.

1. Last week my mom and I went out to Virginia Beach to go for a walk before doing a bit of shopping. We stopped by Joann's, Target, Trader Joe's, and then Wegman's for a few things before going to Shake Shack for a late lunch/early dinner.
2. While we were at Wegman's I picked up this pretty bouquet of flowers. Their flowers are usually kind of pricey so I was surprised that these were only $4! The colors are fun and I enjoy looking at them whenever I'm in the kitchen!
3. I bought this eyeshadow palette at Target last week and I gotta say, I am really liking it. The colors are just so pretty and pigmented. Although make sure you use a decent primer first because otherwise it does kind of crease and disappear throughout the day.
4. Cookie dough ice cream is my all time favorite, so when I saw Blue Bell was releasing this I knew I had to get it! I found the little pint at Walmart and then later found a larger tub at Kroger, so both are in my freezer right now. And let me tell you, this ice cream is SO good! My sister and I both really liked it and I am definitely going to be having some tonight!
5. Since we've been stuck at home I've done a bit of baking. I made a little 6" funfetti cake earlier this week. And then on Wednesday I made some chicken tortilla soup and a little loaf of artisan bread. Both turned out really good!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am Linking up with Bright on a BudgetDella DevotedBYBMG and Andrea!

1. We got back a couple of weeks ago from visiting my grandparents in Washington. We had a really great time and even had great weather! It's been a couple of years since we have seen my grandparents, so it was really nice to finally visit again! Considering the nice weather, we were able to take several walks which was nice.
2. My brother arrived a couple of days after we did, so we drove up to SeaTac to pick him up. Again, the weather was so great my brother suggested stopping at a park to get some pictures of the mountains. My mom couldn't remember if you could see the Olympics from Priest Point park, but we stopped anyways and unfortunately you couldn't see the mountains from there. It was a nice place to stop anyways though.
3. While we were in Washington we made the trip up North to visit our hometown and see our friends and former neighbors! We haven't seen them in about 8 years, so it was high time we finally went and saw them! We all had just the best time and it was SO nice to catch up and just pretty much pick up where we left off!

We have moved a lot and met and left a lot of people, and this family is one that I am so glad we have stayed in touch with. They are just the nicest and best family I am so glad we were able to visit!

4. While we were in town we stopped by our favorite Belgian chocolate shop. I had forgotten just how incredible their chocolates were! I bought a box of six truffles and let me tell you, they were just as incredible as they look.
5. My sister loves the FunkoPop figurines and has been wanting to visit their store in Everett forever. It just hasn't worked out all the times we've visited and this time, since we were heading back by there we were finally able to stop by.

I didn't know what to expect other than the fact my sister was super excited, but I was surprised at how neat the store was! It was laid out by sections, so they had a Marvel section, Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, as well as a place where you could make your own Funko. Overall it was a pretty neat store and I'm glad we could finally visit!
Hope you have a great weekend!

Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am Linking up with Bright on a BudgetDella DevotedBYBMG and Andrea!

1. We got back last week from visiting my grandparents in Washington. It was such a nice visit and we were lucky to have really great weather! I actually didn't take too many pictures, (which is certainly odd for me!) but we mostly just spent time with family which was really nice. I'll share more about our trip next week!
2. We went to Norfolk on Wednesday to explore a bit and we happened to see this Norwegian sailing ship docked there. My sister looked the ship up and found it was built in 1914 and is used for various purposes, including serving as a school ship for the Royal Norwegian Navy.
3. We also saw some cherry blossom trees! There have been trees blooming since early/mid February, but this is the first time I got to see any cherry blossoms up close. I'm looking forward to being able to explore some botanical gardens and arboretums this spring!
4. My post on Wednesday happened to be my 500th blog post published! It seems insane that I've written that many blog posts!

5. In case you missed it, on Monday I shared My Favorite Posts From 2019, and on Wednesday I shared my February 2020 Photo A Day Pictures!

My February 2020 Photo A Day Pictures

The prompts for this month weren't too difficult. Sometimes the prompts can be hard to try to figure out how to photograph, but luckily these ones weren't too bad! There are definitely some months where I really struggle with the prompts, but these were pretty self explanatory. Anyways, here's my pictures:
