Norfolk Botanical Garden Rose Garden

Back in May my mom and I visited the botanical garden and were surprised to see that all of the roses were blooming! We had just been the previous week and none of them were ready, so it was a very nice surprised to see so many of them in bloom!

I wasn't expecting to see so many roses, so I didn't have my camera on my, just my phone, but fortunately my phone takes great pictures so I was able to get quite a few nice pictures!

The roses weren't super fragrant, but every once in a while you would catch a whiff of them and it smelled so nice. Floral scents can be kind of overpowering and strong, but roses just always smell so pleasant!

We were surprised at just how many different varieties of roses there are! Even ones that looked similar in color or size had different names.  It was even amazing how many different shades of red roses there were! From deep blood reds to bright, almost neon reds, there was quite an array!

I always like the ones that are multi-colored, like the one below a few images that is pink and yellow/peach. I also liked the one that was kind of a lavender/gray since I had never seen a rose in that color before!
Have you ever visited a rose garden?

  1. I'm not big on roses, but you certainly saw a lot of beautiful color varieties! I think I would like roses more if I stumbled upon more color varieties on my walks, haha!

  2. I'm not a big fan of roses either. I mean, they're pretty and all, but just not my favorite. Seeing all of the different colors and varieties was certainly nice though!
