Hiking in the DuPont State Recreational Forest

Back in October my mom and I drove up to the DuPont State Recreational Forest to do some hiking. We did the triple falls hike again. Although this time, we managed to find the Hooker Falls trail (it was separate from the main trail, so we missed it last time.) and then we added an additional hike to Bridal Veil falls. In total we hiked either 8.3 or 8.8 miles depending on which phone you looked at. (Not sure why there was a discrepancy since we were together the whole time.) Anyways, it was a long hike with a lot of very steep uphill hiking.

We had hoped the trees would be a little more colorful, but despite it being late October it still hadn't gotten cold enough to really change the leaves. It was nice to see the little pops of color along the way!

The weather was really nice and sunny on our hike. It started out a little chilly but warmed up later in the day.

Last year when we visited the trail was really crowded with people, but this year there weren't very many people which made it really nice. It was also really nice to be able to see 4 waterfalls on our hike!
Do you enjoy hiking?
