Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Bright on a Budget, Della Devoted, and BYBMG!

1. My mom bought a new sewing machine a few months back, and since then she has been doing quite a bit of sewing. My mom bought this kit from a quilt shop and put it together for me. I thought it turned out really cute! All of the stuff on top had to be sewn by hand, so it was quite a project. But I really like it!

2. I haven't bought any Halo Top ice cream in a while since it's normally kind of expensive, but it was on sale this past week so I picked up a couple pints. I got the cookie dough, which we already like, and I thought I would try the peanut butter cup as well. While it doesn't actually have peanut butter cups in it, it's more of a chocolate ice cream with swirls of peanut butter. Anyways, it is really good!

3. One of the things I worked on this past week was updating my recipes page over on the sidebar. I tried to make it easier to find things and I think it turned out okay!

4. I rarely buy candy, but these dumb things are just too good!

February Ipsy Glam Bag Review

TRUST FUND BEAUTY Nail Polish in Wine O'Clock: The color was okay. Not my favorite but I didn't dislike it either. I applied a white coat first, then two coats of this (like the directions said to do.) and it still didn't look that great. It just looked kind of streaky. It took forever to dry. I applied, waited a respectable length of time, then applied the top coat, and while applying the top coat it messed up the polish which annoyed me. Not even 24 hours after applying I already had massive chips in the polish. Needless to say, I am not a fan.

OFRA COSMETICS Liquid Lipstick in ipsy Unzipped: I quite liked this liquid lipstick! I typically don't care for liquid lipsticks as they can tend to be super drying, but that didn't seem to be the case. It was slightly drying, but not uncomfortably so. I also really liked the color. Overall a nice product.

-417 Hand Moisturizer: This was okay. I didn't care for the scent. I don't think it's exactly scented per se, it's just the combination of ingredients that make up the scent (if that makes sense.) Otherwise it was fairly moisturizing.

BEAUTE BASICS Eyeshadow in Lavish: As you can see my eyeshadow came pretty cracked, so I was disappointed about that. The color is fine. Not my favorite but not something I won't use either.

NAKED COSMETICS Vanilla Creme Lip Scrub: Big NO on this one. It's supposed to be vanilla, but to me it smells like petroleum jelly (which for the record, is not listed as an ingredient but it really tastes and smells like it.) I don't even detect vanilla at all. There also really isn't any sort of exfoliant in it. It just doesn't do anything except feel oily and gross on my lips. This is one product that is going right into the garbage!

This was just an okay bag. I really only liked the liquid lipstick, and the rest of the products were either items I really hated or just okay. Overall this was a bit of a disappointing bag.

Five for Friday

1. Target has their Easter stuff out now so I picked up a couple of things while my mom and I were there earlier this week. All three were from the Dollar Spot. My mom and I don't really have very much Easter stuff, so it was nice to be able to find a few little things that were inexpensive!

2. I also really needed some new workout clothes, so I was happy to find several things at Target! I got these leggings (in store they were on clearance for $20), these pants, and this sweatshirt. They're all really comfortable and look great!

3. My mom has been buying a bunch of these puzzles and they are so fun. I got started on this one and I don't know what happened, but I couldn't stop. Haha. I kept coming back to it and had it done in like 5 days. They're fun because it's like a bunch of little puzzles within a big puzzle.

4. This was something I had to document. I actually got my inbox down to zero! I don't even remember the last time I had no emails!
