After visiting the Dock Street theater, we continued our walk around Charleston. It was so interesting because pretty much anywhere you looked there was something neat to see! Old cobblestone streets, historical landmarks, informational plaques, or interesting buildings.
Fancy Target in downtown Charleston! | And some donuts from Glazed. They were good but way overpriced. (They were not anywhere near as good as our favorite Sugar Shack donuts!)
We had stopped for lunch at a pub near Waterfront Park Pier that was not very good and continued wandering around Charleston. We walked almost 9 miles! We saw a lot and enjoyed the city before ending the day at Off Track ice cream. The ice cream I would definitely recommend! We shared a flight and it was so good! None of us had ever had fresh mint ice cream before and there is really nothing like it. The fresh mint just gives off such a good flavor! Even the vanilla was excellent. All the flavors were so creamy and delicious. My parents and I really enjoyed it!Despite being such a short trip we really enjoyed our time in Charleston! We all agreed it was somewhere we would go back to. You can easily spend one day exploring the city itself but there is so much to do outside of Charleston you could definitely spend several days exploring the area. We did have one more place we visited in the area that I will share soon!
That ice cream looks and sounds phenomenal! I do really enjoy normal stores in fancy buildings--we encountered that in Chicago. I needed allergy meds, and we ended up a Walgreen's that was legitimately in a former bank building. So strange and awesome. 😂 Target in a fancy building, though, might be the pinnacle, given my deep, unwavering love of Target! 😂😂
ReplyDeleteIt was so good! I guess it's just fun to see something different! That sounds like a neat Walgreen's! Especially since there is one on pretty much every corner and they all look exactly the same. It's definitely the most unique Target I've seen!
