Herbal Essences Voxbox

It's been quite a while since I received anything from Influenster, so I was happy to finally be selected for something! I received the Honey I'm Strong shampoo and conditioner, as well as the Let It Loose hairspray

I've always liked Herbal Essences shampoo, it's always worked well for me and this was no different. I was surprised to get such a huge bottle though! I wasn't expecting the Costco sized one. I guess I won't need to buy shampoo and conditioner for a while!

The scent of the shampoo and conditioner is nice and light. I wouldn't say it really smells like honey per se, but it does smell nice.

The conditioner was nice too. It didn't leave my hair feeling weighed down or greasy. It left my hair feeling really light and soft.

I liked the hairspray, it had a nice, light, floral scent. Not too strong or overpowering. It reminded me of something from Bath & Body Works. It had pretty good hold and didn't leave my hair feeling stiff.

Overall I was pleased with the Herbal Essences products and would continue to purchase them in the future.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes in exchange for an honest review. All reviews and opinions are my own.

September Target beauty box review

OGX Renewing Coconut Milk Shampoo: I've used OGX shampoo before and liked it, but I hadn't tried the coconut milk shampoo. It has a nice, light scent to it. I'm not sure if I like it as much as the other OGX shampoo I use, but it was fine. It didn't leave my hair feeling dry, which is always good!

Biore Baking Soda Cleanser: I liked this cleanser. It made my skin feel soft and clean afterwards, and it had a light scent to it.
Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara: I didn't really care for this mascara. I noticed a strong chemical-y smell just from opening the top. And it just clumped all my lashes together instead of giving me nice and full lashes. I didn't like the brush either.
Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream: Again, not a fan of the Laneige products. I get one in every single Target box I get and I just don't care for it.
EDEN BodyWorks JojOba Deep Conditioner: I didn't care for this conditioner. First of all, it is super thick! Consistency wise, it's probably similar to shortening. It doesn't go on very well because it almost falls apart since it acts more like a solid than a liquid substance. I also didn't really care for the scent. You're supposed to leave this on your hair for 30 minutes (which I didn't do because I didn't realize you were supposed to leave it on so long.). I didn't notice any difference after using it and just didn't like enough to bother using it again.

S.W. Basics Organic Lip Balm in Cocoa Butter: I liked this lip balm. I've never used cocoa butter lip balm before, so I liked that it was a different flavor. It seems pretty moisturizing and I like that it's simple and organic.
Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick in Naughty Nude: I really liked this lipstick! It's pretty creamy and a very subtle color on me. Just a hint of pink. It also has a berry flavor to it which may or may not be a good thing depending on if you like berry or not! But this is a great everyday color. I don't wear lipstick very often, but this has been my go-to lately!
Overall this was a pretty good box. I liked just over half of the products.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them?

Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Bright on a Budget , and Della Devoted !

1. We finally had an entire week of 'fall' weather! It was in the low 60's all week and it was so nice. I am not a fan of hot weather, so having the temperatures in the 80's and 90's clear up to October is miserable for me! So I am happy to finally be able to wear my sweaters, coats, and boots!

2. And on the same note, the people behind us have this really neat tree that pretty much just has all the fall colors. So pretty!
3. I made a chicken pot pie the other night for dinner. It was pretty good if I do say so myself! They sure are time consuming though!
4. In case you missed it I shared a review of the September Ipsy glam bag as well as some pictures from the Portland Farmers' Market!
5. Ugh. Well, I can't think of a fifth thing for this week. So, um. This is awkward. Ok, here's a fun fact. You can order the kids' meal at Chick-fil-A and just ask for the ice cream cone instead of a toy. It's a lot of food and you get a free ice cream cone. Totally did that yesterday. You're welcome.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Portland Farmer's Market

On our way back from my grandparent's house, we stopped in Portland for the night. And on Saturday morning, we headed downtown to check out the Portland Farmer's Market.

The market was smaller than I thought it was going to be (it's the biggest one in Portland, so I guess I was expecting this huge place!), but it had a lot of different vendors and booths.
We (meaning my mom and dad!) ended up with a whole bag of stuff to take back home with us. Although we could have bought more if we didn't live so far away!

Anyways, it was a nice little place walk around before our long drive back home.
Also, I got a raspberry cinnamon roll at the market which was SO good! I never thought about adding raspberry to cinnamon rolls, but it was extremely good!

Do you enjoy going to farmers markets?
