Tarte cosmetics tarteist™ lash paint mascara: I didn't really care for this mascara. It did make my lashes look longer for a while, but it seemed to wear off throughout the day and came off in flakey pieces. So at the end of the day there was hardly anything left! I also hated the brush. The bristles are rubbery plastic and were very sharp! If you happen to get somewhat close to the lash root(which I can typically do with my regular mascara.) this will pretty much stab you in the eye. Definitely wouldn't recommend this.
Whish Renewing Mud Mask: I did like this mud mask, although at $44 for 2oz, I don't think I will be buying it! So it was nice to get as a sample, but certainly not worth buying full priced! For the size of the bottle, I expected to get more use out of it but I only had enough to use it about 3 times. It didn't exfoliate like it said it would (the formula was really creamy, not at all coarse or anything that would be an exfoliant.) But it did leave my skin feeling nice and soft.
ulta3 Nail Colour in Sizzling Red: I really really don't like the color of this polish. I would consider this more pink than red. It doesn't go on very well (it goes on streaky.) and it really wasn't very long lasting.
Dr.G Daily Safe BB in Fair: I didn't care for this either. I thought the shade had too much of a yellow undertone for me. Also it didn't have very good coverage and didn't cover redness very well. I like the idea of it and that it's for sensitive skin and has natural ingredients, but the shade just wasn't right for me. It did have a really nice scent to it. I also didn't really like the packaging as it was SO hard to read (let alone photograph!)! The light mint font on the silver background just didn't work.
Pixi by Petra Mattelustre Lipstick in Rose Naturelle: I liked the shade of this lipstick. It is very very close to my natural lip color, so it's barely noticeable, but it does have just a hint of color. It's creamy and I like that it's a matte color. It also looks like they have a lot of other great colors in this lipstick line! And it's available at Target, which is always a win!
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
It's too bad these didn't really work out for you, but I'm glad you did find something you liked! I haven't tried a glam bag so far, but I might have to look into getting one! Thanks for sharing at the Grace + Lace Linkup!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly wasn't the greatest in terms of what I liked and didn't like, but I guess 2 out of 5 isn't too bad! I've had bags where I didn't like anything! It's a great way to get to try new products. I won't go out and buy new products, so getting 5 different ones every month works well for me. And $10 is a pretty good price. Let me know if you decide to give it a try! :)
