Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I hope you all had a great week! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted , Bright on a Budget and Coffee With Caitlin!
1. We just got back from spending the last week in Washington. It was SO nice to go back! We spent some time in Seattle before heading out to my grandparents house. We did a lot of stuff and had so much fun! It was hard coming home!
The drive is SO long though! It's about 8 hours from our house to Seattle, then 2 hours to my grandparents house, and then 10 hours from their house to ours. Not including bathroom breaks, food stops, and traffic in Seattle and Portland.
We left my grandparents house at 9:30 am and didn't get home until 10:00 pm! It doesn't help that we lose an hour going back to Mountain time either. And we stopped at Ikea again...
Anyways, it's always nice to see family and it was really nice to be able to get my camera out and take a bunch of pictures!
2. I hope you all had a great Easter! We didn't really do anything. We didn't even dye eggs! (Which was a little disappointing because my sister always makes a sumo wrestler egg that is pretty funny. Not sure how that started, but it's always pretty hilarious!) We were at my grandparents house, so it was nice to spend it with them! And since we were there, I didn't even get to bake anything! My grandma did make a very nice dinner though!
3. While we were in Seattle I picked up a couple postcards. I always try to find some fun postcards wherever we go. My favorites are the vintage travel poster style ones. I always take my own pictures, so I try to go for postcards that are more artsy. Like watercolors, maps, and stuff like that.
These are what I got:
4. I stopped by Target yesterday on my way home from work hoping to find some Easter stuff on sale. I wasn't able to find any Easter stuff (nothing I wanted at least. They had about a billion bags of jelly beans.), but I did find this stuff in the Easter section. I'm not sure why they were with the Easter stuff, considering they aren't really Easter items, but I got a great deal on them!
The bags were $0.75, the stickers were $1.20 each, and the paint brushes were $0.30! Talk about a good deal!
5. In case you missed it, I share a review of my first Ipsy glam bag, and an Instagram roundup!
Have a great weekend!
It's always jelly beans that are left! I had the same problem while looking for decent Easter candy at my CVS last Saturday, haha. That's awesome that you got to go to Seattle! I'd like to go there someday. I really like the postcards you got, especially the Space Needle one. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI know! Jelly Bellies are the only good jelly beans anyways! And even then I only like a couple flavors! It was a fun trip! If you ever make it over there, let me know!
