Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I hope you all had a great week! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted , and Bright on a Budget!

1. The last couple of days I've been deep cleaning my bedroom. Basically just going thorough and getting rid of stuff. I'm up to three paper grocery bags already! It's mostly clothes and books that I had no idea what to do with, so it's all going to get donated. I still have some more work to do though, but it's nice to have a little more space in my closet!

2. And speaking of cleaning, I came across some earrings that I have but don't really wear anymore; I wanted a place to display them, so I used this tutorial I found on Pinterest and made a jewelry box!

I got the box at Hobby Lobby for $1.99, and I already had all the rest of the stuff (paint, felt, and scissors.) It was super easy and I really like how it turned out!
3. After quite a long time of thinking about it, I finally went ahead and bought a Home T! I'd been thinking about it for a really long time, and kept going back and forth over the price (since it's definitely more than I would typically spend for a t-shirt) but I just had to finally do it!
I mean, every once in a while you just have to..
I did get free shipping, so that definitely helps! I HATE paying for shipping! I don't know why, but it just aggravates me. Maybe I'm spoiled having Amazon prime! Haha! Anyone else the same way?

4. I've been posting a few of my Seattle pictures to my Instagram, and I've been playing around with a few hastags. I've been a bit surprised at the amount of likes I've been getting! Even by some photographers with huge followings!

It was kinda neat to get a like from one of the Seattle news stations though. I mean, I know it's probably some intern sitting around liking photos, but it's still pretty satisfying to see!
5. In case you missed it, I shared the last of the pictures from our trip to Seattle! I posted about the Museum of Flight and the Ballard Locks!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Ohhh I want a Home T! You are SO not alone. I not only hate paying for shipping, I basically refuse to haha. I'm so stubborn. If there's a price limit, like having to spend a certain amount, I'll add extra stuff even if I know i'll just return it. But if the price limit is like $150 for a store, I just only shop in-store there. Haha. So cool that Komo 4 liked your picture!

  2. I always get excited when a bigger IG account likes a pic. Feels so satisfying!! So I'm sharing your joy with that. I love how your jewelry box turned out. SO cool for earrings and rings. I've been looking around for new jewelry storage options and this is just so pretty. The box alone is great! And a closet clear out is one of my favorite things to do! I love when it's all done and you have spare hangers again. A win!!! Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. That jewelry box is so cute! I love the color (of course!)! I hate paying for shipping too, it irritates me on a deep emotional level, possibly because I also have Prime, ha! That's so exciting about all your IG likes! You're famous! :) Have a great weekend!

  4. Thanks! I was quite happy with how it turned out! Sometimes DIY projects never end up looking how you picture them in your mind haha! Hope you had a great weekend!

  5. Thanks! It definitely does feel good! It is SO hard to find decent jewelry storage! Everything I come across is either too big or too small for what I have. I just finished the closet clean out and you're right, it is so nice to have spare hangers again! Now I have space for all the new clothes I bought ;) Hope you have a great weekend too!

  6. You should order one! They are pretty soft and comfortable! I ordered four pairs of socks to avoid paying shipping on Forever 21! It felt like a huge accomplishment to make it $0.21 over the free shipping over $50 mark lol! Have a great weekend!
