Hiking at Camelsback Park

This past Saturday, we decided to head over to Camelsback park for a hike. The weather was nice, clear blue skies and in the upper 60's. We had been talking about going hiking for a little while, but the weather wasn't quite right yet. We also had never been to Camelsback park, so we figured it was time to go check it out!

Once we made it to the top of the hill, the view was pretty great!
Downtown Boise. If you follow the street on the left toward the top of the picture, that domed building is the capitol building.
There is a very steep sand/dirt hill that people were climbing up. There were kids literally sliding down it (on purpose) it was so steep! We took one of the other trails to the top.

The hike was pretty easy. And there was actually quite a few people there with little kids (like 3-4 years old).

It seemed like pretty much everyone just walked to the top of the hill, then back down; but we followed the trails for a while up and down the foothills until we looped back around. There is actually quite a few trails, and several different parking areas depending on where you want to start hiking at.

We will definitely be going back and to do some more hiking!
Do you enjoy hiking?
