Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Bright on a Budget, Della Devoted, and BYBMG!
1. We drove up to DC last weekend to meet up with my brother (who moved up to DC a couple of weeks ago.) to visit a museum. We picked him up and then went on a search for a place to park. Finding a place to park in DC is not easy! We ended up opting for Union Station since they had a large garage and you didn't have to reserve a place in advance.
The station itself is rather pretty, so we spent a few minutes there looking around. We ended up just eating lunch there since there were plenty of options for everyone. My brother and mom ate at Pret, and my sister and I opted for Shake Shack.
2. It was fairly hot that day, so walking from Union Station to the museum was not too fun! But we did walk by the Capitol building. It is still just so weird to think we live so close to our nation's capital!
3. We went to the National Museum of American History and spent several hours there exploring. We skipped a couple of sections but for the most part looked at everything. It's nice living closer so we have time to spend all day at one museum if we want to!
4. And we ended the day with a stop at Ladurée for some macarons. They're a bit pricey but so delicious!
5. And in case you missed it, on Monday I shared some pictures from when we visited Pike Place Market! Be sure to check that out!
Hope you have a great weekend!
I have never been to DC, but it is definitely on my bucket list! So pretty!

You should definitely visit someday! There is SO much to see and do in DC! And most of the museums are free which is always a plus!
ReplyDeleteYou should visit DC someday! It's such a fun city and there is so much to do there! My family just moved to Virginia, so I imagine there will be lots of visits in our future!
