Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I hope you all had a great week! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted Bright on a Budget and Coffee With Caitlin!

1. Well, a little bit of news for anyone from Western Washington, but this past Sunday marks the 15th anniversary of the Nisqually earthquake! For those of you that don't know, it was a 6.8 earthquake that was centered near Olympia. My brother and I were talking about it and I can't believe it's been 15 years! We all still remember exactly what we were doing when it happened. My brother was doing school in the kitchen (we were homeschooled), my mom was working on the computer tower (remember those? lol) and I was helping her, and my little sister was in the basement playing (and was not too happy when we told her she needed to come upstairs!)

I think anyone who has ever experienced an earthquake will tell you it is one of the weirdest feelings. It's really freaky when your house is swaying back and forth! We had some good sized cracks in part of our basement from it.

2. Did you watch Fuller House? It premiered on Netflix last Friday and Hannah and I watched the entire season over the weekend. We both really liked it!

I was a bit surprised at some of the content. It wasn't quite as innocent and family-friendly as the original series. But what do you expect now a-days! Overall, it was still a fun show!

3. I picked up these colorful spring flowers last week. I love having fresh flowers around the house!
4. I signed up for a couple of subscription boxes earlier this week that I'm excited about! I've never gotten a subscription box before, so I think it will be fun! I will definitely share more about them once I get them!

5. I also was able to get the elusive Target beauty box! I've been trying to get one for a few months now, but they're sold out ever single time I hear they're out. You can't really beat $5 and free shipping!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. My dad and I were just reminiscing about the only earthquake we remember having on the east coast--it happened in like August 2011, I think. Fuller House actually started the conversation, because I mentioned the episode of Full House where Steph has separation anxiety after the 1989 earthquake! I was surprised by some of the content in Fuller House too, and was wondering if it's because the show is on Netflix and not like ABC? I don't know... Gorgeous flowers, as always! :) Have a great weekend!!

  2. I LOVED Fuller House. My husband and I watched the season this week every night when he would come home. I hope it doesn't take another year for season two to come out.

    1. I hope it doesn't either! I hate it when TV shows take forever to come back on! Thanks for stopping by!
