Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted , and Bright on a Budget!
I hope you all had a great week! I am so glad it's Friday. It's been a really busy last couple of weeks at work and I am ready for a couple of days off!
1. We didn't do too much on Mother's day this year. We bought my mom some nice presents, went to church, and made a nice dinner. We got some flowers for my mom too! And I made a white almond cake with strawberry frosting. It was all pretty good!
While it wasn't super exciting, my mom liked it all.
2. My mom and sister went to World Market yesterday and picked up a chocolate bar for each of us. We first had these while we were in Germany last year and they are SO good! We had looked at World Market before, but they never had the Oreo ones, and I looked on Amazon for them but they're over $5.00 a bar! So I was pleasantly surprised to see that World Market had them. I may or may not be headed back there this weekend to stock up on a couple more! ;)
3. My brother and I tried a new small group earlier this week and it went well! Everyone we really nice and genuinely seemed interested in getting to know us. I've tried a couple other small groups/young adult groups since moving here and it's been disappointing. And it was nice I had my brother to go with me. It's always a bit awkward going to a new group alone!
4. I stopped at Target yesterday and ended up coming home with this wire basket. I bought another one a while ago (but in gold) and I had been looking for another, but they've been sold out. This time they only had this pink one. While I'm not a huge fan of pink, I figured I could always spray paint it someday. And while I didn't notice it at first, I like the chevron pattern! These baskets are pretty sturdy and work great for organization!
5. In case you missed it I shared some lilac pictures and my April Ipsy Glam bag review!
Have a great weekend! Do you have any plans?
