August Ipsy Glam Bag

Ciaté London Paint Pot in Dangerous Affair: I wasn't sure about the color when I first saw this since I'm not typically a fan of red nail polishes, but this was a dark red and I really liked it once it was on! It's a great color for fall!

It has started chipping a little after a couple of days, but I am quite hard on my nails! I spent a lot of time cooking, doing dishes, working, and putting together some Ikea furniture. So a couple small chips after all that is pretty good in my book!
Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Lip Conditioner in Vanilla Coconut Cream: I really liked this lip conditioner! I liked that it was organic and was really moisturizing! More so than probably any other lip product I've used! I don't really care for coconut, so that was the only negative for me, but otherwise it's a great product.
NYX Professional Makeup BORN TO GLOW LIQUID ILLUMINATOR in Gleam: I guess I am just indifferent to this product. I don't currently use a product like this, so it's not something useful for me. The color worked well for my skin tone, and it added a nice shimmer to my skin, but I'm not sure it's something I would really use. I found it to be very shimmery/glittery, so it's not something you need very much of. And for the record, I did apply it kind of thick in the picture above so you could see what it looked like.
Beauty For Real I-LINE 24-7 Eyeliner in Black Magic: I'm not sure exactly what to think about this eyeliner! It's a really bold black and it glides on easily, but I only got one use out of it because I can't get it to twist back up! So the product itself seems okay, but it's practically impossible to use! I read some of the other reviews on this eyeliner and it seems like a lot of other people had trouble with it as well. I'll give it another try, because it did seem like a decent product, but disappointing if it doesn't cooperate!
IT HAIR CARE 12-IN-ONE AMAZING SERUM: Favorite item in this month's bag! I have tried SO MANY products promising to reduce frizz and add shine, but I've never had one work as well as this! I live in a high desert climate, so I have trouble at times with my hair being slightly frizzy and fly-away. This serum is super lightweight, not at all greasy (It does feels slightly oily in my hands, once I put it on my hair, my hair did not feel greasy.) it added shine, and added just enough 'weight' to my hair to keep it from flying away. I highly recommend this product! Also, I do have pretty normal hair, it doesn't tend to be too oily or too dry.
Overall I was quite pleased with this month's bag! All of the products were products I typically use or want to try. The liquid illuminator was a new product for me, but it was nice to try!

Have you tried any of these products? Are there any you would like to try?

  1. The design of that bag is super cute!! And I have one Ciate nail polish myself and was kind of meh about the formula/wear time, but they do put out some nice colors!

  2. Looks like you got some pretty great items! Thanks for sharing at the Grace + Lace Linkup!

  3. I'll have to try the nail polish again and see how it does. I've never really found anything that holds up all that well for me. Everything seems to start chipping after a few days. 4 days is about the max I've had nail polish go without chipping! But maybe it's the top coat? Base coat? I don't know!

  4. I did! I've been getting the Ipsy glam bag for about 6 months now and this is the first bag I've gotten where I really liked all the products!
