Currently

Working on - Editing pictures. I'm getting quite a few pictures on my computer I need to edit, print, and then save to disks. It's a task that always takes me a while to do, but it's nice to get my computer cleaned up and get the prints back.

Looking forward to - Spring time! It will be nice to start seeing some flowers blooming and the trees turning green again. Everything has been so dead looking and ugly lately, it will be nice to finally see some signs of spring!

Watching - Madam Secretary started up again, so we have been watching that. As well as Little Big Shots (the kids on there are just too cute sometimes!), Shark Tank, The Voice, and Fixer Upper.

Eating -  I've been really into eating taco salads lately. They're pretty quick and easy to make, and just taste so good! 

Reading - I just started When Tides Turn by Sarah Sundin, so far it's been okay. I'll be posting a review when I finish it.

Squirrels!

I'll preface this post by saying I know this is a random post, but I really wanted to share these pictures! ;)

We live in town, so we don't get much wildlife in our yard. One day I would love to live out of town somewhere and see deer roaming through the yard, but for now I'll have to settle for the squirrels!

My dad built a squirrel feeder a few years ago, and they are pretty cute and entertaining to watch! 

I took these earlier this winter, (hence the fact it's snowing!) I never got around to getting any more pictures, so I thought I would share these!

And while I was taking the squirrel pictures, I happened to notice a woodpecker in a tree nearby, so I took some pictures of that too!

So what do you think? Are squirrels cute or annoying?

Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Bright on a Budget, and  Della Devoted!

1. I ordered a new camera case and I'm pretty excited about it! My biggest problem when traveling is a camera bag. Every camera bag I've had is big and bulky, doesn't fit everything I need, or it's a pain to get stuff in and out of, etc. I don't like using a backpack because they aren't allowed in most museums and stuff (and a purse type bag is just easier to get into.). So I came across this neoprene camera case and I think it's going to work well! With this, my camera is protected and I can just use whatever bag I like! And it was only $12, so it's a pretty good price!

2. We stopped by Lowe's after church last week and there just so happened to be some girl scouts selling cookies outside. So we came home with all these.

3. I've been wanting a North Face jacket for a while, and I also have been needing a nice spring weather-ish jacket. I have a heavy winter coat as well as a light rain jacket, but I need something for the in-between weather I found this North Face jacket on 6pm, and ordered it! I'm pretty excited about it. It was a great price too! I'd never ordered anything from 6pm before (it's part of Zappos) and they had some really great prices!

4. So I was on Youtube looking up something totally unrelated, and this video of Christ Pratt performing a magic trick on the Graham Norton show popped up on the homepage. It's definitely worth watching (you have to watch until the end.). Will.I.Am. is on it as well, which is pretty funny. You. Are. Welcome. ;)

But when the Elliotts and Autumn are unexpectedly forced together, he fears she'll bring more wreckage in her wake.

I had never read a book by this author before, and when I first read the summary, I was intrigued. 

I really felt like I could relate to Autumn. Her emotions and struggles were so honest and very well written. Had I gone through something as horrific as Autumn, I probably would have reacted the same way. So I could understand where she was coming from. 

When I first started the book, I thought Paul was a jerk. He complained and was worried when his daughter wouldn't talk to him, but he never really gave her the opportunity to. My dislike of him started to go away once we know more of the situation, but it was a little frustrating to me at first. 

Reese was a very well written character as well, and Tate brought some humor to an otherwise serious story.

I liked that romance was not the focus of this book. It's very on the surface, and I was worried it was going to go deeper, but I'm glad it didn't. I felt like it would have cheapened the story.

This is a christian book, so faith plays a large part of this story, but I really didn't find it to be 'preachy'. 

The author deals with a very difficult topic-why do bad things happen? And not just that, but why do bad things happen to good people? I don't know that I would say that that question was exactly answered, but I would say that it was handled well. I personally do not believe we are always meant to know why bad things happen. We just have to know that if we believe in an all-knowing God, we have to believe that he has a hand in every situation, whether we are meant to know the why or not.

I liked the diary entries and letters throughout the book. It just added something a little different to the story.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and found it to be very well written. I will certainly be checking out other books from this author!
