Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I hope you all had a great week! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted , and Bright on a Budget!

1. I got another Chatbook in the mail! I really like these little photo books! I take tons of pictures, and I scrapbook, but I really wanted somewhere I could keeps all the photos of the little things in life. Like a single picture of a tree I thought was pretty, a random photo of what I'm doing in the moment, stuff like that. These were the cheapest (and easiest) photobooks I could find! They use your Instagram pictures and send you a book every time you reach 60 pictures.
2. While we were in Washington, we stopped at Ikea where I was finally able to get a picture frame for the poster my sister got me for Christmas! The poster was kind of an odd size, so as far as I know there isn't a frame I could find that would fit it perfectly, but I like how it looks!
3. I've been sharing posts from our trip to Washington this past week. I posted some pictures from the Roozengaarde Tulip Farm and from Pike Place Market!

4. It was a good week mail-wise around here because I got my Target beauty box, April Ipsy glambag, and my April Love With Food box this week! Look for reviews of those soon!
5. And last but not least, I added Disqus for comments the other night. For the record, doing anything technical before bed is NOT a good idea! It ended up taking me like, an hour to get it installed because it wasn't working. It was being super frustrating!

I've used Disqus when commenting on other blogs, but I've never been a moderator with it before, so hopefully it will work okay!

If you aren't familiar with Disqus, you can create an account (or you can comment as a guest) but you will be notified when I respond to your comments! This way, if you have a question or something, you will get an email back letting you know when I respond. It just makes it a lot easier and more interactive.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Ooh, yeah, Disqus! It can be a pain sometimes, but I love that it notifies you when someone responds to your comments. I feel like it fosters more connection! I've been trying to get a "Related posts" widget up this week, so I know the blogging technology struggle is all too real. I have some poster-type prints that are weird sizes, but I never thought to check Ikea for frames! I need to keep that in mind (since one of my goals this month was to frame prints and that hasn't happened at all...). Have a great weekend! :)

  4. Exactly! It always annoys me when I comment with a question for someone, and then I have to keep checking back to see if they respond. Disqus makes it so much easier! Ikea's frames are so cheap but still look nice. You should definitely check them out!

  5. I've been meaning to sign up for Chatbooks. Love that you get a chance to capture all the fun IG shots, because it really DOES give you a glimpse of everyday life.

  6. You should! I really like how easy they are! I actually made a separate Instagram just for my Chatbooks; that way I can use photos from my camera as well as iPhone pictures.
