Roozengaarde Tulip Farm

While we were in Washington, we made a trip up to Mount Vernon to visit the Roozengaarde Tulip Farm! It had been 8 years since we last visited, so it was long overdue.

When we started talking about heading over to Seattle, I really really wanted to make a trip up here! And it was definitely worth it!

While the tulip festival hadn't officially started yet (the tulips weren't quite ready.) the farm was still open.
When the tulips are ready, the daffodils are usually dead or dying, so it was nice to be able to see the vast fields of yellow!

We went on a Tuesday, so there was hardly anyone there! In the past, when we've gone on a weekend it is PACKED with people! It makes it really hard to get around and practically impossible to get pictures. I was very happy being able to wander around and take as many pictures as I wanted without feeling like I was rushed or in the way.
Have you ever visited a tulip farm or festival? What did you think?

  2. I went to school in Tacoma for four years and then lived in Seattle for two and a half and never made my way up there! I'm still bitter about it! Ha! We might have to go stay in a hotel in Seattle (or maybe even Bellingham) this spring and check it out!
