Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted , and Bright on a Budget!

1. We got some rain last weekend and it was pretty nice. It's probably the Washingtonian in me, but I actually do like the rain sometimes! Although in this particular instance, I was out with my camera and I didn't like my camera getting wet!

Anyways, it was nice while it lasted and now it's back to being super hot again. Ugh.
2. I've always been pretty indifferent to corn bread, but my sister really wanted some so I tried this recipe and it is so good!

3. I'm going to be getting a car soon so I've been spending some time looking at cars lately. Specifically smaller SUV's. I found a couple I am interested in, but have to have my dad make some calls on them since he's the car guy in the family. I just pick out what I like and send him the link to look at haha.

4. I've been anxiously awaiting a package to arrive in the mail and so far it hasn't shown up yet. I am kind of impatient about getting stuff in the mail! It's an international package, and I didn't realize when I got free shipping I wasn't going to be getting a tracking number. (Well, I have a "tracking number", but the package isn't actually able to be tracked). Hopefully it shows up soon!

5. I made some French madeleines earlier this week and they were so good! We first had madeleines in France last year, and I had been wanting to try making some myself. They're hard to find in stores, and the ones we've tried have tasted really dried out.

I bought this pan and used a recipe out of this book. They were super easy to make and so good!
Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. Looking at cars is so stressful! I had my dad help me too, haha. A small SUV sounds nice! I've never driven one before, but sitting up higher is appealing! Have a great weekend!

  2. It is! It's such a big investment! I don't want to make the wrong choice! My parents have always had SUVs, so that's just what I'm used to driving. I feel weird driving a small car! It doesn't help that I'm tall and always seem to hit my head on the door frame when getting into a car haha!
