Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Bright on a Budget, and Della Devoted!
1. I got my last box from Amazon yesterday and I am officially done with my Christmas shopping! I still haven't wrapped anything yet, but once we get our Christmas tree up (which we're doing sometime this weekend!) I'm going to get everything wrapped so I can get it under the tree!
2. I found this cute garland in the dollar spot at Target earlier this week. (It was actually $3.) Although once I got it home and really looked at it, I realized it would be really easy to make one myself using glitter paper or a sheet of felt or something. I might have to give that a try and make another one!
3. I made some homemade minestrone soup and rosemary and olive oil focaccia not too long ago and it was SO good! I'd never made focaccia before (or minestrone soup) but it was really really good! Everyone loved it! And the soup was really good too! (I used this focaccia recipe.)
4. It tried snowing here a couple of times this week, but it didn't last long and it didn't stick. I wish it would! We kind of got cheated out of fall, since summer hung around so long, so it would be nice to have a decent winter with some snow!
5. In case you missed it, I shared a Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Weekend Recap post on Monday, and then on Wednesday I shared a review of the October Sephora Play bag!
haha That is so not my thought re: winter. My preferred snow is snow that doesn't stick! Winter just drags on so long here ugh.
ReplyDeleteYou are so ahead on Christmas shopping! I haven't even started yet! Love that cute banner from Target! You always cook the most delicious looking things. :)

Haha! Yeah, not too many people share my love of snow. I just think the snow looks so pretty! Once it's cleared off the road I'm okay with it. I probably wouldn't like it too much if I lived in your part of the US! Here in the Northwest our winters are pretty mild!
ReplyDeleteI try to be ahead on my Christmas shopping! A couple years ago I got the idea to keep an ongoing list on my phone of gift ideas. Anytime someone in my family mentioned they wanted something, or liked or needed something, I'd write it down. That way when birthdays and Christmas came around, I already had an idea! Sometimes that doesn't work if no one happens to mention wanting anything, then I'm stuck! Or if you have people who are impossible to buy for!
ReplyDeleteThe dollar spot always has such fun stuff!
Thanks! :) I really enjoy cooking and baking for people! And taking pictures of everything I do ;)
