I thought this was a good book. Both of the main plot lines were interesting. I did figure things out pretty early on, but the story was still engaging.

I liked both characters as well. I thought Sophie was a good, strong character who knew what she wanted out of life and was good at what she did, but she also knew when to ask/accept help. I am so sick and tired of the stupidly stubborn female characters who put themselves in harm's way just to prove how 'tough' they are, only to have some dramatic rescue by the hero. Sophie was not like that at all and it was quite refreshing!

Cooper was a pretty decent character as well. His back story was a bit generic and there could have been a bit more originality and depth with him, but overall he was a good compliment to Sophie.

I do agree with other reviews of this book that there was quite a bit of telling instead of showing. I can sometimes overlook that, which is fine with the legal side of the story, but there were a few instances where it was a bit odd. Specifically with the romance part, which was a bit stiff, as well as Copper's sudden change of heart at the end.

Overall I thought this was a good read and if you like legal dramas, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
