Five for Friday

Hello and welcome to my Five for Friday! I am linking up with Cup of Tea , Della Devoted , and Bright on a Budget!

So, it's been a super uneventful week. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with five things to talk about today!

1. Did you know you can add your medical ID to your iPhone?  This article came out after the Orlando shooting and I thought it looked pretty helpful. I've never really looked at the health app, but having some of your medical information and an emergency contact is certainly helpful if anything were to happen! Hopefully no one will ever have to use it, but you never know.

2. I discovered this the other day. I've never really liked any sort of sparkling water (everyone is always talking about La Croix, but I just can't get on board with that. It just tastes weird to me!), but my family has been buying Perrier lately, and when I tried it I was surprised to find I actually liked it. And then I found the grapefruit Perrier and it's pretty good!
3. My sister found this on Pinterest and now we've been laughing about it all week.
4. Our small group met earlier this week and the plan was to meet up at a park and walk to some shops and restaurants nearby, but it was raining so we ended up driving. It was clear on the other side of town where Michael and I had never been before, but we ended up going to this old fashioned candy shop. It was pretty neat! There was candy and old fashioned games, and tv/movie memorabilia and fun stuff everywhere! Most of the candy was pretty expensive (way more than you would pay anywhere else) but I did pick up this Dr. Pepper. I don't know about you, but pop in glass bottles is always more fun ;)
5. In case you missed it, I shared my first-ever confessions post! I always enjoy reading other peoples confessions posts, so I thought I would do one of my own.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  1. That medical ID thing is really good to know. I actually just went and updated it, even though all I could do was add two emergency contacts. (I can never remember my blood type...)

I LOVE when people call it pop instead of soda. I know you're from Washington, so of course you do. But my husband and his family are from California and always tease me for it!

  2. I must have read the same article as you because I just learned about the iPhone/medical info thing this week too! Pretty cool. And I like plain Perrier so I might have to check out the flavored verities! That guy with the chair is too funny! One of my co-workers always leans back too far in his chair and it makes this terrible popping sound--he might wind up like that guy soon enough, haha! Have a great weekend!

  3. It is! I hadn't heard about it before that article, but it definitely could be really helpful! I couldn't remember my blood type either, I had to ask my mom!

Haha! I always think saying soda sounds so odd! Hope you had a nice weekend!

  4. Yeah! It's definitely a handy iPhone feature!
You should! I know there is at least a lemon, orange, lime, and the grapefruit, definitely worth trying!
Haha! My brother is always leaning back in his chair and every time I see him do it I expect him to fall. He hasn't yet, at least not that I've seen! I guess it would probably be entertaining if your co-worker did fall out of his chair!
Thanks! I hope you had a nice weekend too!

  5. Any drink in a glass bottle is so delightful! Why is that? La Croix is my drink jam, so now I'll have to try the flavored Perrier to see how it stacks up. Grapefruit flavored drinks are so yummy!! Hope you had a fun weekend!

  6. I have no idea why, they just are better! I really wanted to like La Croix, considering all of their great flavors, but I just didn't care for it. I did have a fun weekend! I hope you did as wel! :)
