Not Your Mother's Texturizing Sea Salt Spray: I'm not really sure what to think about this! It did give my hair a little bit of a wave, but for the most part it made my hair a frizzy mess. And it also just left my hair kind of sticky and gross feeling. I did try it on dry hair, so maybe I'll give it a try on my hair when it's wet.

Nugg Deep Hydration Facial Mask Treatment: I tried this the other night and wasn't real impressed with it. It definitely made my face feel all tingly. It also had a strong smell of petroleum jelly, which I didn't think this product contained.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: I haven't tried this yet. I'm just not really into facial masks, so I'm not sure if I'll try this. One was enough for me.

Hair Food Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner: I liked this shampoo and conditioner! It smelled really nice, didn't have a lot of chemicals or any parabens, and it also left my hair feeling soft.

The only negative is that it didn't lather up very well. Otherwise it was great!

Banana Boat Sun Comfort SPF 30 Lotion: I probably won't be trying this until summertime. That's about the only time I'm out in the sun for any length of time.

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Colors - I've used Sinful Colors nail polish and have been pleased with the quality. Considering how cheap the polish is, It's long lasting and the colors are pretty and vibrant. I did not like the color I received in this box though, it is WAY too bright for my liking! I tried photographing it in different lights and it doesn't show up as vibrant as it is in real life.

I ended up taking the polish off a little bit later because I just didn't like the color. I don't paint my nails too often, but when I do I like to use darker, or more neutral colors. The polish itself is great, but the color just wasn't for me.

you are AMAZING Juicy Grapefruit Body Lotion: The scent isn't too bad, although it doesn't really smell like grapefruit. For some reason it kind of reminds me of lemon Pledge, but that's probably just me! Anyways, the ingredient list isn't too bad and it doesn't have any parabens. It's also made in the US which is nice! I also like that it absorbed into my skin pretty quickly and doesn't leave a greasy residue.

Caress Adore Forever Body Wash: I definitely will not be using this because it smell terrible! I could smell it without even opening the bottle. It has a really strong perfumey scent. Like when you walk through a store after someone has sprayed ever single perfume in the store. It's pretty bad!

So for my first Target Beauty Box, it wasn't too bad! I liked that they actually put some care into packaging up the box with tissue paper and arranging the products so the front/labels were facing out. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get any makeup products to try, but maybe next time!

Have you ever tried a Target Beauty Box? What did you think?

  1. That's awesome that you got the Laneige Water Mask--it's like a Korean beauty cult favorite! (Not one that I've tried, but still. haha) But yeah, getting two masks at once is a little overwhelming. I tried a different Nugg mask awhile ago and really liked it, so that's a bummer that this one didn't work out for you. I usually find myself disappointed in boxes, or wishing I'd just spent the money on things I actually want, haha!

    1. Hmmm, I might have to try it then. I've been hearing about Korean beauty stuff lately but I really know nothing about any of it! Except what I've read from your blog! Haha, I know exactly what you mean! I figured $5, what the heck? lol!

  2. Ok, I had terrible luck with this box. It arrived soaking wet and it was the sea salt spray that had completely leaked out:( Speaking of that, you should use it on towel-dried hair with a scrunch spray, and scrunch as you're blowdrying. It will give you a nice texture more than anything.
